Over the weekend British singer, Zayn Malik performed one of his
new songs 'Like I would' from his debut solo album 'Mind of Mine' at the
iHeartRadio Music Awards. He worse a custom ensemble created for him by
Balmain's creative Director Olivier Rousteing.
''I love the way he is
evolving'' said Olivier Rousteing. ''He is someone who has all the potential
and the strength to become a champion, and that is why his outfit resembles
that of one - embroidered and chic but ready to perform and own the stage''.
''It is easy to work with artists who know what they want'' said
Rousteing, who created the piece for Zayn's performance. ''He has all the
elements I admire in a person: He is confident, creative and unique - a real
modern prince, a Balmain 'solider'.''
Zayn's stylist described the look by saying ''Clean lines with
lots of personality'' It featured Balmain's signature looks, which include
brass button and angular shoulders on a double-breasted jacket.
Here is a sketch of the custom made ensemble for Zayn.
Personally I think the outfit is perfect for this performance and for Zayn.
Like Rousteing said Zayn ''is a real modern prince, and a Balmain 'solider'''
and this description fit's Zayn perfectly in this outfit. The all black
commands attention and the added detail make the outfit truly unique and
special.
